Super Mario Bros. Wonder Clinches the Top Position in UK’s Boxed Charts

Super Mario Bros. Wonder has ousted Marvel's Spider-Man 2 from its week-long reign as the UK's best-selling boxed title, according to Gamesindustry.biz. Despite a 55% drop in sales this week, Super Mario Bros. Wonder outperformed Spider-Man 2, which saw a larger decrease of 69%, making it currently the top-selling physical game in the UK.

Both games are among the largest physical game launches this year in the UK, with Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder ranking fourth and fifth, respectively.

Elsewhere on the charts, EA Sports FC 24 took third place, while Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 entered fourth. Assassin's Creed Mirage secured fifth place, followed by Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at sixth and EA Sports UFC 5 at seventh. Hogwarts Legacy remained eighth, Nintendo Switch Sports advanced to ninth, and Minecraft descended to tenth.

Other notable changes include Sonic Superstars dropping from fourth to fifteenth and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom falling to seventeenth despite a sales increase of 9%. Thanks to its new expansion, Dead Island 2 experienced a significant surge in sales (309%) and reappeared on the charts.
